Acclaim Awards Gala

The Acclaim Awards Gala is our major fundraiser. It is intended to be used as more than a fundraising event. It is an opportunity to celebrate what we have accomplished and to honor those who have worked for the betterment of all people in Louisiana, and most importantly our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. It is also a great opportunity to attract new members to our organization. At the gala we honor community leaders through a process of nominations and selection by committee. Award categories are the following: Arts & Entertainment, Media, Health, Political Activism, Political Leadership and Chairs’ Awards.

The gala is always an evening of memorable celebration of community, dinning, libations, bidding, and dancing. Over 300 people attended our XII Acclaim Awards Gala last year. This year the gala will take place on Saturday September 24th at the JW Marriott Hotel. Being the Chair, Co-Chair, committee members, and volunteers for the gala, are positions of honor. Become a sponsor or donate auction items here. We need volunteers to plan and work toward making this event a memorable one.
