Forum For Equality Louisiana
Forum For Equality Louisiana advocates for equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons in the Louisiana. Equality is meant to include the protection of human and civil rights and the elimination of prejudice and discrimination.
We accomplish our mission through the establishment of fair and equitable laws protecting the rights of LGBT persons and the elimination of laws that would seek to counter this effort. Our activities include statewide legislative efforts, local initiatives, political activism and advocacy campaigns. Our organization is composed of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and straight allies united in our belief that full human rights should be extended to the LGBT community.
Our priorities includes:
- Employment Non-Discrimination
- Safe Schools and Anti-Bullying
- Second Parent Adoption
- Domestic Partnership Benefits
Forum For Equality Louisiana has established working groups and local chapters in the following cities: Baton Rouge, Lafayette/Acadiana, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport. Your membership with Forum For Equality Louisiana is vital.
We also need your support to continue our advocacy of LGBT rights. Join a local chapter or create one in your city and become involved in building a state of equality. Email Executive Director, SarahJane Brady, at email@example.com for more information.
Thank you for supporting us in creating an equal future for Louisiana!
