Apply to Join the Forum for Equality Board Today!

Use your interest in – and passion for – equality to help inspire and encourage change across the Pelican State. Join the Forum for Equality Board of Directors and be part of our efforts to make our State a more fair and just place to call home for LGBTQ+ Louisianans. Share your leadership skills and join a dedicated group of staff, board members, and volunteers in ensuring Louisiana is on the right side of history.

For more than 30 years, Forum for Equality has been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ+ human rights at the local and state level, and in our courts when needed. We have passed ordinances in New Orleans (1997) and Shreveport (2013) to ensure non-discrimination protections for those communities. We sued the State of Louisiana to bring marriage equality home post-Obergefell, and worked to ensure that same-sex couples were able to get marriage licenses (2015). This past year we successfully pushed back attacks on trans youth by our state legislators with our coalition partners. We have more hearts and minds to change, and battles to fight. Will you join us?
